The United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory issued a report on Monday stating that Israel continues to commit genocide in Gaza. The document asserts that genocidal acts persist despite the ceasefire agreement signed in October 2025.
The Palestinian health ministry reported that 14 Palestinians died in the Gaza Strip over the previous two days. The most recent casualty was Tahani Mohammad Shalalfah, a six-year-old girl shot by Israeli soldiers on Tuesday. Local media indicated that tanks fired in the Al-Alam and Al-Shakoush areas west of Rafah. Artillery also struck areas in the north of the territory.
On Monday, Israeli forces bombed a makeshift camp, killing one person. Two security service members died and two were wounded during a mission in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, according to the Ministry of Interior and National Security.
The Palestinian health ministry said the total death toll since October 2023 has reached 74,561. This count includes 1,565 deaths that occurred after the ceasefire took effect. The agreement was designed to stop the violence and facilitate humanitarian aid, but Israel has continued daily attacks and restricted aid delivery.
The UN commission accused Israel of war crimes and crimes against humanity. These include extermination, persecution, torture, and rape. The report cited the use of heavy and unguided munitions in densely populated areas, alongside drones and sniper fire. It described this as a systematic destruction of civilian life and objects.
The report stated that the Yellow Line, originally a temporary demarcation, has become a steadily encroaching de facto border. This reflects expanding territorial control by Israel. The commission warned that the strategy of total destruction seen in Gaza is being imported to the West Bank.
In the West Bank, the commission reported a widespread and systematic attack against civilians since October 7, 2023. It noted that torture and sexual violence are used to displace and destabilize the population. The body called for an end to the occupation, the removal of all settlers, and the return of confiscated land to Palestinian owners.
