NPR released its Sunday puzzle on November 1, featuring thirteen clues where the first letters of the hints match the first letters of U.S. place names.
The on-air challenge requires answers that are two-word names of cities, states, rivers, or mountains. One clue asks for a Northeast Haven, while another seeks a Dry very! location.
Other prompts include a Storied Fire, an Oil Capital, and a Port Honolulu. A separate question targets a Hydroelectric Development and an Engineered Channel.
A final item in the set is a three-word answer describing a sizable population in Minnesota. The previous week's winner, Deborah Freedman of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, solved a challenge regarding corporate logos.
Last week's puzzle asked listeners to identify two companies with lowercase starting letters and capital B's inside their names. The correct answers were eBay and jetBlue.
This week's on-air challenge asks listeners to find a three-letter body part inside a four-letter body part to form a supermarket brand. Listeners can submit answers by 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, November 5, and must include a phone number to play on air.
