Retailer Newegg has cut $450 from the list price of the ABS Stratos II Ruby gaming desktop, bringing it to $2,549.99.
The machine is built around an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, an eight-core chip using AMD's 3D V-Cache design that raises L3 cache to 96MB. Larger cache reduces how often the CPU reaches for slower system memory, which cuts latency and steadies frame rates. Tom's Hardware still counts the chip among the best CPUs for gaming, though it no longer tops the outlet's benchmark charts. Graphics come from an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti with 8,960 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR7 memory, a card positioned for 1440p and 4K play. The review outlet reports the card can run current titles at 4K with ray tracing, using multi-frame generation where needed, and notes top graphics presets may require adjustments in the most demanding games at that resolution.
ABS operates as Newegg's own brand, which is why its systems appear widely across the retailer's site. Tom's Hardware lists the Stratos II Ruby as the least expensive RTX 5070 Ti gaming PC currently on Newegg. The chip no longer tops the outlet's CPU benchmarks, and the outlet expects the offer to sell out quickly.
The rest of the specification includes 32GB of DDR5 memory across two 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo RGB modules running at 6,000 MT/s, plus a 2TB Team Group NV5000 M.2 SSD at Gen 4 speeds. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and Ethernet. A Bitspower 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler handles processor cooling.
The RTX 5070 Ti carries 16GB of video memory, more headroom than the 8GB on the RTX 5060 and RTX 5050. Nvidia's DLSS with multi-frame generation is supported. No Intel processor matches an X3D part for gaming performance, the outlet reports. Tom's Hardware called the price a strong one for the current market, citing the $450 discount and the 9800X3D plus RTX 5070 Ti pairing. ABS is Newegg's own brand.
